Video: Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA07) Debates Republican Nick Freitas

As the Culpeper Star-Exponent notes, this evening’s VA07 forum “will be the only face-to-face debate between the two candidates, and will include a chance for each to rebut the other’s statements.” In 2018, Abigail Spanberger narrowly (50.3%-48.4%) defeated then-Rep. Dave Brat (R) in this “reddish”/”purple” district (went by 8 points to Trump in 2016, by 6 points to Tim Kaine in 2018). This time around, it’s likely going to be  a close race again. The differences couldn’t be greater between the two candidates, either, with Spanberger a pragmatists who works to get things done, and Freitas a right-wing ideologue who would almost certainly get nothing done if he were elected to Congress. So…let’s make sure Freitas is NOT elected to Congress, but that Spanberger is reelected for another two-year term!
