So, at this point (11/19), in Virginia we’re at 210,787 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 13,815 hospitalizations and 3,896 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 1,954 (+0.9%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 2,071 (+1.0%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 108 (+0.8%), which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 99 (+0.7%). Deaths are reported +36 compared to +25 the previous day. The number of TOTAL test results is currently at 3,255,995 TOTAL test results (up 26,817 from yesterday; note that, according to researchers at Harvard, we need 21,145 test results/day for mitigation, 81,741/day for suppression).
