Thursday (4/8) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +1,928 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 631,083), +101 Hospitalizations (to 27,012), +21 Deaths (to 10,436)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (4/8), in Virginia we’re at 631,083 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 27,012 hospitalizations and 10,436 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,928 (+0.3%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,550 (+0.3%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 101 (+0.4%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 96 (+0.4%).  Deaths are reported +21 compared to +14 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,635,411 (up 27,024 from yesterday).
