From the Alan Howze for Arlington County Board campaign:

Lowell,

Voting in the Arlington County Democratic firehouse primary starts tomorrow evening, Thursday, January 30 from 7PM – 9PM at Key Elementary School.  You can also vote on Saturday, February 1 from 11AM to 7PM at Kenmore Middle School.

I need your help to win. Can you forward this email to your Arlington friends and family and ask them to vote for me in the primary? Tell them why you are supporting me and encourage them to come out and vote.

I have knocked on over 2,000 doors, talking with voters about what issues matter to them. Parents concerned about the overcrowding of our schools. Seniors on fixed incomes worried about the rising cost of living in Arlington. Columbia Pike residents ready for more transit options. And residents from all over the county who expect our tax dollars to be spent carefully, while still continuing to make important investments that will move our community forward.

I have worked hard to reach out to all parts of Arlington and to build a broad base of support.  I am proud to have the support of the Arlington Teachers, the Sierra ClubGreater-Greater WashingtonBlue Virginia, and community leaders including Paul Ferguson, Frank O’Leary, Mary Margaret Whipple, Bob Brink, Jay Fisette, Noah Simon, Ed Fendley, Dave Bell, Karen Darner, Judy Connally and Joe Wholey, plus many more.

My experience in business, in government,  and in civic leadership has prepared me to take on the task of finding durable solutions to the challenges we face.  I will also bring to the County Board the voice of a parent who currently has children in the Arlington Public Schools. Working together we can  make Arlington stronger, not just tomorrow, but for many years to come.

You can find more information, and read my positions on the environment, transit, schools and other issues by going to my website www.alanhowze.com

I appreciate your support at this crucial time in the campaign. Every email you send and every conversation that you have with a voter on my behalf will help us win this race.

Regards,

Alan

P.S. – Can you make a contribution of $100 to help us get out the vote?
