The primary’s just two weeks away and a lot of people I talk to know very little if anything about the Democratic LG candidates. However, they’re starting to realize that in two weeks, they’re going to need to make a choice.  With that, here are some debates and forums they’ve participated in recently (and that I managed to procure video of). Also check out their websites, of course: Justin Fairfax, Susan Platt and Gene Rossi.

And check out the following videos from the Mt. Vernon Dems’ Mardi Gras party back…yeah, around Mardi Gras. 🙂

Justin Fairfax, running for Lt. Governor, delivers his stump speech.

Susan Platt, running for Lt. Governor, delivers her stump speech.

Gene Rossi, running for Lt. Governor, delivers his stump speech.

And from Rep. Gerry Connolly’s St. Patrick’s Day party on…yep, St. Patrick’s Day. 🙂

Lt. Governor candidate Susan Platt.

Lt. Governor candidate Justin Fairfax.

Lt. Governor candidate Gene Rossi.

I wanted to hear from the candidates and not from the bozo sitting to the left. This discussion is a waste of time.

I’ve been leaning toward Fairfax after I found out that Platt has spent the last couple decades as a corporate lobbyist – including for tobacco giant Altria.

Lord knows we have more than enough of those types in public office. I’d rather take my chances with a young African American candidate who represents new opportunities for the future, thanks.

voted for Platt but would be equally happy with Fairfax.
