What would a Republican takeover of the Virginia State Senate, the last bastion of any check/balance on their frighteningly extreme agenda, mean? Well, for one thing, it would be much scarier than any goblins, ghouls, witches, worlocks, etc. this Halloween. And it certainly wouldn’t be any “treat” for the environment, for women’s rights, for getting out of transportation gridlock (these guys will make it much worse), for moving Virginia “forward together” (although the top 0.1% will do great with monolithic Republican’t control).
