Great job by Delegates Surovell and Herring (see video on the “flip”) in defending “the bones of Democracy” against a 100% political assault by Republicans against voting rights in Virginia. I presume that these blatant Republican attempts to suppress turnout of young people, seniors, Latinos, African Americans, disabled people, etc. will end up being thrown out by the courts and/or Justice Department (under the Voting Rights Act), but still…this tells us a great deal about today’s TEA-O-P — none of it good.
