Video: Reps. Beyer, Connolly, McEachin, Scott All Vote for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker

Congratulations to Rep. Donald McEachin (D-VA04) on his first vote as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives — Nancy Pelosi for Speaker. Also see video of Virginia’s other Democratic House members – Don Beyer (D-8th), Gerry Connolly (D-11th) and Bobby Scott (D-3rd) – voting a few minutes ago for Pelosi. Not surprisingly, Virginia’s Republican members all voted for Lyin’ Paul Ryan. By the way, it’s good to see that Republicans backed down – but only after a massive public outcry – on their slimy plan to gut the House Office of Congressional Ethics. Still, this is going to be a looong two years, and the bottom line is that we badly need to take back the House in 2018 if we want honest, accountable government of/by/for the people and not of/by/for the corporations and richest 1%.
