See below for video of the Fairfax County NAACP’s VA-10 candidate forum this afternoon. All Democratic candidates – Alison Friedman, Lindsey Davis Stover, Dan Helmer, Jennifer Wexton, Julia Biggins, Paul Pelletier – participated, along with Republican Shak Hill. Why am I not surprised that Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA10) skipped the Fairfax County NAACP VA-10 forum? Comstock, of course, badly needs to be “repealed and replaced,” for a bunch of reasons, including her record of voting 97% with Trump, her unwillingness to hold town hall forums or to interact with constituents who don’t necessarily agree with her. This November, let’s make sure we get that done!
P.S. As my friend Chris Ambrose puts it: “At the non-partisan candidate for the 10th Congressional district hosted by the NAACP, Barbara Comstock is missing in action although her Republican primary opponent joined all six Democratic candidates for this important event. I suppose expecting Comstock to discuss issues with challengers is a lot to ask someone who is so afraid of making her extreme positions on issues known to voters that she has never held a single town hall to update her constituents since she was first elected in 2014.”
