Cook Political Report’s First Look at House of Representatives 2020 Has Spanberger, Luria as “Toss Up”

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It’s very early, and a ton of stuff will happen by 2020 that could jumble things around big time. With those caveats – and more! – in mind, here’s the Cook Political Report’s first ratings for 2020 U.S. House of Representatives races. The bottom line: “initial ratings show Democrats with a head start in 219 races, Republicans with an advantage in 196 seats and 20 Toss Ups. Of the 20 Toss Ups, 16 will be held by Democrats in January and four by Republicans.”

Also, see below for a focus on Virginia, where Cook Political Report has it as follows: VA01 “Solid R” (I agree); VA02 “Toss Up” (ditto); VA03 “Solid D” (ditto); VA04 “Solid D” (ditto); VA05 “Likely R” (ditto); VA06 “Solid R” (ditto); VA07 “Toss Up” (ditto); VA08 “Solid D” (ditto); VA09 “Solid R” (ditto); VA10 “Likely D” (ditto); VA11 “Solid D” (ditto). So yeah, I agree with Cook Political Report on everything in Virginia at this point. How about you?
