See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health. So, at this point (4/10), in Virginia we’re at 4,509 total reported cases, 772 hospitalizations and 121 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 467 (+12%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 397 (+11%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 87 (+13%), from 685 to 772, which is a slightly  faster rate of increase than the previous day (which was up 70, or +11%). Deaths are reported up 12 (from 109 to 121), compared to an increase of 34 (from 75 to 109) the previous day. So overall, not great news, but not the worst either. Hopefully, the curve will “flatten out” in coming days/weeks if we keep up the social distancing and other measures. Also, of course, we need a LOT more testing capacity, PPE, etc.
