From Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA07)’s reelection campaign:
As VA-07 Marks 250,000 Ballots Cast, Spanberger Releases Statement on Final Day of Early Voting in Virginia
GLEN ALLEN, VA — Rep. Abigail Spanberger today released the following statement on the final day of early, in-person voting in Virginia.
“For more than a month, Virginians in the Seventh District and across our Commonwealth have turned out in record numbers to vote early. Thanks to the commonsense efforts of the General Assembly, we have truly made voting easier and safer for our communities even in the face of difficult circumstances,” said Spanberger. “The excitement on the ground is real, and I have been excited to see so much enthusiasm throughout the Seventh District. Virginia has a huge role to play in this year’s election, and voters know that access to affordable healthcare, our response to COVID-19, and our economic recovery are on the ballot. As we mark the final day of early in-person voting, I encourage everyone who has yet to cast their ballot to do so today or on Election Day. Especially as we mark the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment this year, we remember and honor all Americans before us who’ve fought to gain and protect this fundamental right.”
As of Saturday morning, more than 250,000 people have already voted in the Seventh District.
Following stops today at early voting locations in the Seventh District, Spanberger will host a “Meet and Treat” Rally in Henrico with Doug Emhoff, U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), and former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe.
