Norfolk City Councilwoman Angelia Williams Graves Announces Candidacy for HD90 Seat Vacated by Joseph Lindsey

Last week, then-Del. Joseph Lindsey (D-HD90) announced that he had been selected to “fill the vacancy on the Norfolk General District Court” and was leaving the House of Delegates. HD90 is an overwhelmingly “blue” district (e.g., it went for Tim Kaine 71%-28% in 2018), so it’s not a question of Democrats holding the seat, only who will replace Del. Lindsey. Today, I received a press release – see below – from Norfolk City Councilwoman Angelia Williams Graves, announcing her candidacy for HD90. We’ll see if she’s the only Democratic candidate, or whether others throw their hats in the ring as well…
