Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA08) is calling for House Republican leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy to resign for having “spread the very lies that helped incite this violence” and for “always enabl[ing] Trump’s worst and most destructive acts.” It’s truly appalling that McCarthy is a public official at all, let alone the House Republican leader and a potential Speaker of the House if – god forbid – Republicans take control of the House in 2022.
