Check out the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA)’s 100th episode of its “Patients Come First” podcast, featuring U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, and hosted as always by VHHA’s Vice President of Communications, Julian Walker. Among other things, Sen. Kaine talks about his own bout with COVID-19 (including continuing neurological symptoms); the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package (Kaine says the danger is “going too small,” not going “too big”); his experience on 1/6/21 (“it was a day that I never would have imagined, that I’m never going to forget, and that I never want to repeat…I was just furious…the president preaching the Big Lie over and over and over again had led to this” and people “have fallen for it”…”I hope America is wiser…for having put a person with no moral character into the most important office”); the challenges of the mass vaccination rollout; the amazing job done by the Virginia National Guard on COVID-19 and protecting the U.S. Capitol; his Medicare X proposal; his “entertainment survival kit picks”; etc.
