So, at this point (4/19), in Virginia we’re at 647,111 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 27,678 hospitalizations and 10,595 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 978 (+0.1%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,305 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 29 (+0.1%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 24 (+0.1%). Deaths are reported +14 compared to +17 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,841,692 (up 10,790 from yesterday).
