From the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC):

As Jen Kiggans Campaigns With “Big Lie” Ringleader Ted Cruz, Why Won’t She Say Whether Joe Biden Won the Presidential Election?

Kiggans praised far-right Senator Ted Cruz who refused to certify 2020 election at Virginia Beach campaign event

Jen Kiggans is only a month into her bid for Congress, and already she’s cozying up to far-right politicians and proving she’d be a reliable vote for the most extreme leaders in the Republican party – but not Virginians.

Kiggans has gotten to work campaigning with some of the most extreme Republican leaders in her party, including Senator Ted Cruz, who shamefully led the charge against certifying the results of the 2020 election and propagated the “Big Lie” which led to the deadly Capitol insurrection on January 6.

And when it comes to standing up for our democracy, Kiggans has been silent and still won’t say whether Joe Biden won the presidential election, or whether she’d stand in line with party leaders to oust Congresswoman Liz Cheney for daring to the tell the truth about the results of the election.

“Jen Kiggans has yet to acknowledge the truth that Joe Biden won the presidential election, but her actions are making crystal clear where she stands. Kiggans’ efforts to cozy up to divisive and extremist figures like Ted Cruz – a ringleader in the ‘Big Lie’ movement which resulted in the Capitol insurrection – confirm she’s incapable of being an independent voice for Virginia,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn.
