JASON MIYARES ENDORSED BY TRUMP ALLY AND BIG LIE SUPPORTER MIKE POMPEO

LEESBURG —  Yesterday, Jason Miyares was endorsed by Mike Pompeo, one of Donald Trump’s allies who has supported Trump’s Big Lie and faced legal and ethical questions about his tenure at the State Department.

Earlier in the cycle, Miyares and the rest of the VA GOP ticket joined fellow Trump loyalist Marie March for a rally in Southwest Virginia, even though it has been revealed that March attended the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. and Miyares  attended an event with Texas Republican Dan Crenshaw, who actually signed onto a legal brief to overturn the 2020 election, and has participated in countless events with Amanda Chase who has “previously called for martial law to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. She repeated Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud, and lost access to her Facebook account after falsely blaming leftist activists for the Capitol insurrection.”.

“Once again, Jason Miyares is linking himself arm-in-arm with Donald Trump’s far-right allies and Big Lie supporters, ”said Madia Coleman, Communications Director for Mark Herring. “Miyares needs to answer once and for all: Does he stand with the Virginians who support American democracy and overwhelmingly elected President Biden, or these ultra-conservative Republicans who seek to overturn our election and undermine our democracy?”
