MCLEAN, VA — Terry McAuliffe released the following statement on Donald Trump’s latest announcement that he will be coming to Virginia to campaign for Glenn Youngkin:

“Glenn Youngkin’s entire campaign has been a full embrace of Donald Trump’s dangerous extremism, and this week, Youngkin doubled down on everything he and Trump stand for: divisive culture wars, racist dog whistles and bigotry.

“In the final days of the race, Donald Trump has now endorsed Glenn Youngkin for a seventh time, making it even more clear that Youngkin’s top priority is bringing his Trumpian, right-wing agenda to Virginia. Youngkin’s closing messages of book banning, white supremacy, antisemitism, and transphobia are disturbing and disqualifying. It could not be more clear: Trump is Youngkin’s top endorser and surrogate. Virginians will not be deceived — they will reject Donald Trump and his extreme agenda for the third time next Tuesday.”
