Inundated by Emails From People Extolling Their Teachers and Mocking His Authoritarian “Snitch Line,” Youngkin Laughably Claims “Working Papers” FOIA Exemption

This guy gets more Trump-like every day.

So now, Youngkin “doesn’t want the public to see just how divisive parents considered his snitch line to be, so he’s hiding the emails sent to the line” by absurdly claiming they are “his own correspondence.” This, from the same Trump-endorsed governor who frequently closes his events to the press, will apparently only talk to right-wing media, who started up an authoritarian “snitch line” for citizens to “rat each other out,” etc. Gonna be a loooong four years with this guy in the Virginia Governor’s Mansion. Of course, given that the “snitch line” is being inundated with emails from people extolling their teachers and mocking Youngkin’s idiocy, you can sort of understand why Youngkin wouldn’t *want* people to see the submissions, but the concept that these are “working papers” not subject to FOIA is beyond absurd, into Trumpian territory for sure…
