Jarome Bell locked in another endorsement from far-right, conservative backers with support from Turning Point Action, the Charlie Kirk-headed conservative group that pledges to, according to Donald Trump Jr., “recruit the next generation of conservative leaders to help MAGA win in 2022.”
The endorsement could be a boost for the “MAGA Champion in VA-02” as Bell continues to try and win support from conservative Trump voters. Bell now joins the ranks of other Turning Point Action-endorsed candidates like Sarah Palin, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Madison Cawthorn, and Beth Van Duyne.
Jen Kiggans, Bell’s opponent in the primary, must be feeling the pressure as her lackluster campaign loses out on endorsement after endorsement. Today Bell also announced he snagged the endorsement of singer and conservative activist Ted Nugent, and last month Rep. Bob Good (VA-05) gave Bell his backing — the first endorsement by any of the Virginia congressional Republicans in this GOP primary.
“The extremism from the Republican candidates in the VA-02 primary is enough to make any Virginia voter sprint in the opposite direction,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “Virginians are looking for common-sense leadership in Congress, not another Marjorie Taylor Greene-wannabe.”
