Concerns Expressed Over VA Budget Conference Report on Marijuana Laws, Earned Sentence Credits, Charter School Expansion, the Proposed Commanders Stadium, etc.

With votes coming up on June 1, the Virginia budget conference reports are finally available for anyone other than politicians and lobbyists to examine. See here (HB30) and here (HB29) for all the details. Also, see below for some reactions so far, including some serious concerns expressed over provisions regarding marijuana laws, earned sentence credits, charter school expansion, etc. Also, as Del. Danica Roem points out: “I’ll once again be voting against the legislation to create the football stadium authority necessary to allow a NFL stadium along I-95 in Woodbridge. While this is stand-alone legislation, it is also tied to the budget.
