ICYMI: Yesli Vega Appears on Same Stage with Far-Right Dictator
Vega, Orban Lay Out Dark Visions of America
Richmond, VA – “This is a battle between good and evil,” Yesli Vega, the far-right extremist yelled to the crowd at the marquee MAGA gathering – CPAC – Friday afternoon.
Vega spoke on the same stage as far-right Hungarian dictator Viktor Orbán. Orbán recently gave a speech in which he declared, “We do not want to become peoples of mixed-race.”
The Washington Post wrote about Vega’s appearance at CPAC alongside Orbán this way:
The talk was one of dozens on an agenda packed with divisive figures. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who recently drew international condemnation when he said he didn’t want Europe to become a “mixed race” society, spoke on Thursday.
Vega’s appearance alongside Orbán comes as new audio was released this week by VPM in which Vega — who CBS19 describes as “notoriously anti-abortion” — said that only God – not a doctor or healthcare provider – can decide the life of the mother.
“You have the other liberal states where they’re gonna have a free-for-all at taking innocent life, and that’s where we have to step in and say ‘What is acceptable and what is not?’” Vega said in the audio. “And in my opinion, I’m sorry, look, God is a giver of life, right, and therefore God takes life.”
“Yesli Vega continues to demonstrate just how extreme she truly is,” said DPVA Spokesperson Gianni Snidle. “Vega – who shared the stage with an antisemitic dictator – will do anything to bring more attention to her failing campaign, even if it means siding with antidemocratic forces from Eastern Europe.”
