Just days after Jen Kiggans affirmed her support for Lindsey Graham’s recently introduced national abortion ban, Graham issued a call to arms to Republicans to “stand up and be counted” in favor of “pro-life” policies. As he put it:
“I’m pro-life, even in an election year. And to those whose suggest that being pro-life is losing politics, I reject that … To my Republican colleagues: Now’s the time to stand up and be counted. The pro-life movement is counting on you.”
It seems that Jen Kiggans is answering that call. After weeks of trying to hide her support for outlawing abortion from Virginians, Kiggans’ campaign told Virginia Scope she supports “common sense” abortion restrictions “such as protecting babies from 15 weeks on.”
“If Lindsey Graham is looking for a place to campaign and promote the Republican agenda to ban abortion, we’d like to invite him to join his ally Jen Kiggans in Virginia Beach,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. |
