JOSH THRONEBURG TO FACE OFF AGAINST REP. BOB GOOD AT FORUM
CHARLOTTESVILLE – Josh Throneburg, Democratic nominee for Congress in the Fifth Congressional District will debate Rep. Bob Good at Hampden-Sydney College on October 26 from 7-8 PM. The forum, hosted by the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest, is the only face-to-face event that Good’s campaign agreed to.
Several organizations extended multiple invitations to both campaigns to participate in debates and forums. Despite Good’s absence, Josh appeared by himself at every forum declined by Good’s team; this week alone, Josh was the sole participate in the Senior Statesmen of the Blue Ridge candidate forum and the candidate forum sponsored by the Albemarle-Charlottesville NAACP.
The Hampden-Sydney forum will be moderated by WSET (ABC13) Anchor Mark Spain. Many, but not all, questions will come from Hampden-Sydney students provided to the moderator in advance. Candidates will not see the questions in advance, and there will be no follow-up questions.
The event is open to the public and students, but seating is limited to 150 and will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. An area will be reserved for members of the press. The debate will be livestreamed by WSET and Throneburg’s campaign.
