Note that this district was narrowly won by Glenn Youngkin in 2021, but was won by Dems – Ralph Northam, Mark Herring and Justin Fairfax – in 2017; by Tim Kaine in 2018 and presumably by Mark Warner in 2020), so it’s DEFINITELY winnable – and we really need to do so, given how narrow the Democratic majority is in the State Senate, and everything that’s at stake (starting with women’s reproductive freedom)!

| RICHMOND, VA – Governor Glenn Youngkin and Senate President Pro Tempore L. Louise Lucas today concurrently issued writs of election declaring a special election in the 7th Senate District for January 10, 2023. The seat was previously held by Senator Jen A.
