The following press release is from Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s office; for more information on the one announced Democratic candidate so far, Aaron Rouse, see here. Note that this district was narrowly won by Glenn Youngkin in 2021, but was won by Dems – Ralph Northam, Mark Herring and Justin Fairfax – in 2017; by Tim Kaine in 2018 and presumably by Mark Warner in 2020), so it’s DEFINITELY winnable – and we really need to do so, given how narrow the Democratic majority is in the State Senate, and everything that’s at stake (starting with women’s reproductive freedom)!
