The Congresswoman is Endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for Her Support of Pro-Growth Policies
Spanberger Has a Record of Lowering Costs, Supporting Virginia’s Workforce, and Cutting Red Tape & Taxes for Small Businesses
FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The campaign of Rep. Abigail Spanberger — a former federal law enforcement officer and CIA case officer — released its latest ad, “Compete.”
In her new ad, Spanberger highlights her record of supporting workforce training and apprenticeship programs. Additionally, she touts her work to bring back U.S. manufacturing jobs from overseas, as well as her continued work on behalf of Virginia’s small businesses and their employees.
Virginia Worker 1
You shouldn’t need a college degree…
To get a good paying job…
Virginia Worker 2
He’s right…
Skills training and apprenticeships are a big deal…
This country could use more of them.,
Rep. Abigail Spanberger
I totally agree…
And I’ve been working hard on this issue…
Because it is a priority.
We also need to boost American manufacturing…
To compete with China.
And cut taxes for small businesses…
So they can hire workers for these new jobs.
I’m Abigail Spanberger…
And I approve this message…
Because it just makes sense.
“I’m focused on keeping Virginia’s workforce and economy strong. By bringing back jobs to America, addressing hiring challenges, and building a business climate that encourages growth, we can keep our Commonwealth the best place in the country to raise a family, build a career, or start a business,” said Spanberger. “I have a demonstrated record of listening to Virginia’s small business owners, workers, and families — and then bringing their direct feedback back to Congress. And by prioritizing the need for affordable workforce training and apprenticeship programs, I have been proud to help lead the way to more pathways to success.”

BACKGROUND
Spanberger is focused on making smart investments in Virginia’s workforce, fixing outdated physical infrastructure, cutting red tape for Virginia’s small businesses, and supporting family-sustaining jobs. Spanberger was recently endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Spanberger has a record of working with both parties to support workforce training programs — and making them more affordable for Virginians. She and U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA-01) introduced bipartisan legislation that would give Virginians the freedom to use their 529 savings to pay for workforce training and credentialing programs.
Additionally, Spanberger is working to pass the bipartisan and bicameral Jumpstart Our Businesses By Supporting Students (JOBS) Act, which would expand Pell Grant eligibility to ensure students have access to a variety of postsecondary programs.
Spanberger — Vice-Chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus — has a record of building broad coalitions in Congress to deliver results for Virginia’s economy and physical infrastructure. In the last year, Spanberger has helped lead negotiations with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to pass the bipartisan infrastructure law and the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act.
Earlier this year, Spanberger was once again ranked as the most bipartisan Member of Congress from Virginia and among the top five most bipartisan Members of the U.S. House overall.
