Democrat Russet Perry is a very impressive candidate, and would have a good chance at defeating right-wing-Republican Juan Pablo Segura this November in a crucial “purple”/swing district in Loudoun County (90%) and Fauquier County (10%). If Democrats are able to win the 31st State Senate district in November, it will go a long way towards guaranteeing that Democrats keep control of the State Senate. As Russett Perry puts it, “This swing district, which was narrowly lost by Terry McAuliffe in 2021 and won by Jennifer Wexton in 2022, very well could be the Majority maker in 2023.” So let’s make sure we get the strongest Democratic nominee (clearly Russet Perry) and win this thing!

Russet Perry Releases New Digital Introduction Video

Highlights service to Country and Commonwealth, and broad support of Campaign

LEESBURG, VA – Russet Perry, former prosecutor and CIA officer, released a new campaign introduction video outlining her experience, endorsements, and the importance of winning the 31st State Senate seat in 2023.

The introduction video highlights Perry’s public service career, touting her time serving her country and Commonwealth as a CIA Officer and Loudoun County Prosecutor. “I have at some point in time been 100 percent accountable to you and have been doing that for the past decade of my life,” said SD-31 candidate Russet Perry.

The video also emphasizes the importance SD-31 will have in deciding the Majority in the Virginia State Senate this cycle. This swing district, which was narrowly lost by Terry McAuliffe in 2021 and won by Jennifer Wexton in 2022, very well could be the Majority maker in 2023.

Perry features her support from local and statewide validators, including former Governor Ralph Northam, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton, and Loudoun County Senator John Bell, Senator Jennifer Boysko, and Senator Barbara Favola.

This video release comes amid the campaign’s growing momentum. Perry announced in January that the campaign has raised over $100,000, and has earned the endorsements of many Democratic State Senators, as well as LiUNA and Climate Cabinet.
