New Poll Finds DeSantis Narrowly Leads Trump Among Virginia GOP Likely Primary Voters, Youngkin Only at 6%; Sears Leads Miyares 48%-17% for 2025 VA GOP Governor’s Primary

Not sure what to make of this polling outfit, exactly, but throw it into the mix, as the political analysts love to say. The bottom lines:

• “Virginia GOP Primary Voters love Governor Youngkin but don’t back him for President.”
• “Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has an early lead among likely Virginian GOP Primary voters.”
• “Virginia Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears leads Attorney General Jason Miyares in a hypothetical 2025 GOP Primary match up.”

Also, compare/contrast to the recent Roanoke College poll, which found: “Among Republican respondents, the candidates they would most prefer to be the Republican nominee for president are Trump (39%) or DeSantis (28%), with all other candidates in the single digits.”
