WaPo Endorses Sen. Tim Kaine for Reelection, Calling Him A “Model Senator,” “Political Workhorse,” And A “Credit To Virginia”  

For once I agree with the Washington Post editorial board on something; of course, endorsing Sen. Tim Kaine for reelection is SUCH a no brainer, even people who are not the “sharpest tools in the shed” (e.g., the WaPo editorial board members) can figure it out – LOL!  Anyway, a few highlights from their endorsement include:

• “Fortunately for Virginia, and the Senate, Sen.Tim Kaine (D) is seeking a third term. Mr. Kaine is a political workhorse: earnest, even-keeled, decent and constructive.”
• “[Hung] Cao lacks the temperament and pragmatism to be effective in the Senate and his ideology is out of sync with the increasingly moderate state he seeks to represent. Mr. Cao has described himself as “MAGA” and part of the “Trump America First camp.” He has compared President Joe Biden to Communist leaders in Vietnam. He pronounced himself “thrilled” about the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.”
• Tim Kaine “is a seasoned public servant” who “has worked productively across the aisle,” “still has plenty of energy,” has seniority that “is valuable for Virginia,” “is a credit to Virginia and a valuable player in the Senate.”

With that, here’s Sen. Kaine’s campaign press release on the endorsement. So let’s all make sure we vote to reelect this “model Senator,” as well as to keep the best state partnership in the US Senate (Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine) going!
