Last night, there were two debates in Virginia – one between Sen. Tim Kaine and his Republican opponent, Hung Cao; the other between VA07 Democratic nominee Eugene Vindman and his Republican opponent, Derrick Anderson. Below, I’ve posted some video and “highlights” of some of the craziest sh** Cao and Anderson said. If you want to understand why it’s crucial not to vote for ANY Republican at this point, this is a great illustration as to why.
Because the bottom line is that today’s MAGA/Trumpified GOP has basically morphed into a party filled with cranks, crazies and the same types of people (e.g., the “John Birch Society”) that the Republican Party once purged from its ranks. Unfortunately for our country, those unhinged people returned – in droves – to the GOP, in the form of “QAnon,” “Project 2025,” Trump, Vance, etc. Horrifying – and must be defeated for our democracy to live!
Hung Cao made a LOT of false, extreme and bizarre comments tonight, but this one’s just…WTF???
More weird/bizarre comments by Hung Cao, this time on drag queens, “alpha males” and the military
No question, if Hung Cao were capable of any self awareness or embarrassment, he’d be extremely embarrassed right now after spewing out such craziness, extremism, etc. and showing he has no clue what he’s talking about on just about any subject.
Great point by Sen. Tim Kaine – “You can’t leave education just to the states,” as Hung Cao wants to do, and “we don’t want to go back” to the days of segregation, etc.
“Senator Kaine showed a clear command of the issues and detailed how he is standing up for Virginia every day in the U.S. Senate, including lowering everyday costs, supporting veterans and military families, investing in HBCUs, and protecting reproductive freedom.”
Derrick Anderson spews out falsehood-laden response on climate, energy
Anderson goes completely off the deep end, falsely accuses Eugene Vindman of supporting abortion AFTER BIRTH, which as Vindman points out, would be MURDER. Just completely unhinged by Anderson.
