See below for some video from tonight’s Prince William County Democrats’ candidate forum, for Lt. Governor and Attorney General candidates. For the LG candidates (Alex Bastani, Levar Stoney, Ghazala Hashmi, Victor Salgado, Aaron Rouse, Babur Lateef), their opening remarks were very similar to what they said to the Mt. Vernon Dems Mardi Gras party, at Rep. Gerry Connolly’s St. Patrick’s Day party, and last night’s Red Wine and Blue forum, so I only recorded the Qs and As. For the AG candidates (Jay Jones and Shannon Taylor), however, I recorded both. Anyway, check them out.
P.S. Also note that Prince William County could be a crucial jurisdiction – along with Fairfax County, Loudoun County, etc. – in determing who wins the Democratic LG and AG primaries, as most of the candidates are from outside northern Virginia, so whoever does well in the region with a motherlode of Democratic votes could end up winning the nomination(s).
