WINSOME, LOSE SOME: Sears Concerned That Attacks on Jobs Hurt Her Campaign, Not That They Hurt Virginians
VIRGINIA – This week, Virginia continued to deal with the fallout of the Trump tax bill that Winsome Earle-Sears has praised, and new audio revealed Sears’ only issue with Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs is them harming her campaign. It’s more clear than ever, Sears only cares about pushing Trump’s agenda.
SETTLING THIS WEEK’S SCORE
Winsome’s Wins:
- Winsome on the Big Screen: Following Virginia losing its “Top State for Business” ranking because of Donald Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs, the Democratic Party of Virginia launched a new digital ad highlighting Winsome Earle-Sears’ record cheering the actions that are hurting Virginians.
Winsome’s Losses:
- “DOGE, DOGE, DOGE, DOGE and Trump and DOGE and Trump”: New reporting from the Dogwood uncovered audio from an event where Winsome Earle-Sears complains about Donald Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs harming her campaign as she refuses to stand up for the Commonwealth’s economy and Virginians’ livelihoods. In the audio, Sears says “just DOGE, DOGE, DOGE, DOGE and Trump and DOGE and Trump. And so then I started down six points. Dropped me six points in January.”
- Hampton Roads Calls Out Sears: In Norfolk, an elected leader and Virginians continued calling out Sears’ for cheering on the attacks on Virginia jobs and Trump’s tax bill that’s stripping 322,000 Virginians of health insurance.
As Virginians across the Commonwealth are stripped of health care and rural hospitals are forced to close, this week was just more proof that with Winsome, it’s Virginians who stand to lose the most.
- “Don’t Panic…” “Great Things…”: As Virginians across the Commonwealth are stripped of health care and rural hospitals face closures, Winsome Earle-Sears continues praising the Trump tax bill devastating Virginia. Sears said the bill “does so many great things” and dismissed Virginians’ concerns telling them “don’t panic.”
