It truly is astounding that this horrifying information about VA Del. AC Cordoza (R-HD86) – see video, below, and also click on this link – never came out in his previous runs for office (e.g., in 2021 against Democratic incumbent Del. Martha Mugler, when he was first elected to the House of Delegates, defeating Mugler by just 94 votes out of 27,000+ cast); in 2023 against Democrat Jarris Taylor). But…yeah, these allegations – assuming they are accurate, obviously; and presumably this has all been carefully vetted by VA House Democrats – are really, really serious sh**. Also, the ad (see below) by the Virgil Thornton for Delegate campaign highlighting this material is truly brutal – and quite possibly brutally effective.
By the way, Kamala Harris won this district by 1.1 points and Tim Kaine won it by 3.6 points, so it’s most definitely winnable for Democrats, especially if people see this ad on TV or in the news (which SHOULD cover this story, but we’ll see; they hate nothing more than seeming “partisan” or “biased” against Republicans). - A.C. Cordoza has a long history of predatory behavior.
- He was caught evading metal detectors at a school.
- Court records show Cordoza was charged with pulling a gun on a retired state trooper.
- Another police report details sexual harassment of a teenager who ‘got scared and … ran’ but Cordoza ‘tried to stop her and touch her.’
- Cordoza was even caught running a sexting ring on an ‘open forum for sexual predators’ that ‘targeted teen[s].’”
Yiiiiikes. So yeah, everyone in HD86 really needs to vote for Democrat Virgil Thornton – a “devoted husband, father, and certified foster parent” who, among other things, was “an electrical nuclear test technician on submarines, giving his service to the US Navy as a civilian.” In short, this is a no-brainer choice (Virgil Thornton, obviously!) in HD86.
P.S. Now that truly horrific, appalling accusations against Del. AC Cordoza (R) have come out, will some of the VA Republicans (e.g., Glenn Youngkin, Winsome Earle-Sears, John Reid, Jason Miyares, etc.) who have campaigned with him disown/condemn his behavior? Or is anything/everything ok from this self-professed party of “family values,” etc. – unless it’s Donald Trump or pretty much any Republican, for that matter?
