King, Fechter Settle in Defamation Case Filed by Del. Dan Helmer
FAIRFAX – Delegate Helmer filed the Complaint in this matter on January 30, 2025, in Fairfax County Circuit Court against named Defendants Lissa Savaglio, Avram Fechter, and Charles King (case number CL-2025-0001487).
Defendants Avram Fechter and Charles King have entered into a settlement with Delegate Helmer.
“The matter was settled to the satisfaction of the Parties, and the terms are confidential,” said Delegate Helmer.
Delegate Helmer will have no further comment. While these settlements are an important step in finally closing this dark chapter for Delegate Helmer, he has not reached a settlement with Defendant Lissa Savaglio; his defamation case against Ms. Savaglio remains ongoing.
It is the policy of this office not to publicly comment on ongoing litigation. The settlement against the other defendants The Complaint and other pleadings in this matter are publicly available in the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
