With just 13 days until the 2025 Virginia elections, we’ve got another new poll (conducted 10/17-10/20) this morning, this time by Chaz Nuttycombe’s non-partisan State Navigate. Key takeaways of this poll are as follows (see tons more details here):

  • In the governor’s race, Abigail Spanberger leads Winsome Earle-Sears by 13 points (55%-42%)
  • Spanberger leads Earle-Sears by a massive 59%-37% margin among women; Spanberger leads Earle-Sears by a narrow 51%-49% margin among men.
  • Spanberger leads Earle-Sears among 18-29 year olds by an incredible 72%-22% (!). Spanberger also leads Earle-Sears among 30-44 year olds by a 56%-42% margin.
  • Spanberger narrowly *trails* Earle-Sears among White people (48%-51%), but LEADS Earle-Sears among Black people by a massive 83%-13% margin, by a 63%-31% margin among Hispanics/Latinos and by a 57%-34% margin among Asian or Pacific Islanders.
  • In the LG race, Ghazala Hashmi leads John Reid by 11 points (53%-42%)
  • In the AG race, Jay Jones leads Jason Miyares by 5 points (50%-45%)
  • In the House of Delegates “generic” ballot, Democrats lead Republicans by 12 points (53%-41%)
  • Glenn Youngkin has a net negative-1 approval rating (46%-47%), which by the way is the worst approval rating of any Virginia governor at this point in their terms, at least in the past few decades. It would also be one of the worst, if not the worst, gubernatorial approval rating in the country.
  • Donald Trump’s net approval rating in Virginia is negative 19 points (40%-59%), which is obviously disastrous politically speaking for Virginia Republicans. As a Virginia Democrat, we can only hope that Trump will come campaign for the Virginia Republican ticket…heh.

What else jumps out at you? Also, compare/contrast this poll with yesterday’s polls by VCU and Clarity Campaign Labs (D).
