Another day, yet ANOTHER new poll – this time from Suffolk University (non-partisan). Here are the top lines.
- For governor, Abigail Spanberger is up 9 points (52%-43%) over Winsome Earle-Sears…about in line with other nonpartisan polls.
- For LG, this poll has the race *tied* (44%-44%) between Ghazala Hashmi and John Reid. If Hashmi actually ends up losing this race, it will be because of several main factors, including the fact that the “mainstream media” has relentlessly whitewashed/sanewashed Reid’s many years of far-right-extremist, conspiracy-theory and other crazy comments as a MAGA radio host (hell, they won’t even say he was a MAGA radio host, just a generic “radio host”); But let’s make sure Hashmi does NOT lose to Reid, because that would be a DISASTER.
- For AG, Jason Miyares leads Jay Jones by 4 points (46%-42%).
- Trump’s approval rating in Virginia at just 39%-54%, which SHOULD translate into a landslide victory for Spanberger, as well as for the rest of the ticket. But will it?
- Youngkin’s approval rating at 51%-37%, which is MUCH higher than we’ve seen from other recent polls…thus, kinda hard to believe.
Comparing this poll to other polls, it’s definitely not as positive for Democrats as yesterday’s State Navigate poll, or the Clarity Campaign Labs (D) poll, but it’s pretty close to what VCU’s latest poll found. So…choose your adventure? Or just ignore the polls and make sure you vote – and remind everyone you know to do the same???
