Spanberger’s “Virginia Votes Bus Tour” Rolls Through Northern Virginia with a Focus on Delivering for All Virginians

On Thursday, Spanberger Made Stops in Prince William County, Alexandria, Fairfax, Manassas, & Loudoun County

LEESBURG, Va. — Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger continued her “Virginia Votes Bus Tour” on Thursday, joining Virginians in communities and at local businesses across Northern Virginia.

Spanberger made clear that as Virginia’s next Governor, she will put Virginians first, keep Virginia’s communities safe, and work to deliver for all Virginia families. 5 days until Election Day, Spanberger joined local law enforcement officers from across the Commonwealth, met Virginians at local businesses in Alexandria, Fairfax, and Manassas, and celebrated Halloween with families in Loudoun on the road toward victory.

Prince William

On Thursday morning, Spanberger joined local law enforcement officers from across the Commonwealth in Dumfries to recognize her continued support for Virginia’s men and women who wear the badge — as well as Spanberger’s endorsement from the Virginia Police Benevolent Association (VAPBA). At this “Law Enforcement for Spanberger” event, VAPBA President Joe Woloszyn spoke about Spanberger’s record of delivering for Virginia’s law enforcement officers — including by getting her bipartisan Social Security Fairness Act signed into law to secure their earned retirement benefits — and her commitment to working with law enforcement to find solutions to the challenges the profession faces, including the recruitment and retention crisis.

Alexandria

Spanberger then stopped by Los Tios Grill in Alexandria for an event with the “Latinos for Spanberger” coalition, joined by United States Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ). As Virginians are casting their ballots in this year’s elections, Spanberger is making clear that she will be a Governor who is focused on lowering costs for all Virginia families, strengthening all of Virginia’s communities, and making sure schools across the Commonwealth are the very best in the nation. On Day One, Spanberger will make sure the voices of Virginia’s Latino community — and all of Virginia’s communities — are heard in Richmond.

Fairfax

At Soricha Tea & Theater in Annandale, Spanberger celebrated with members of the “AAPIs for Spanberger” coalition, joined a traditional Korean tea ceremony, and enjoyed a performance by the Hasang Korean School Traditional Drum Team led by Director Wonyong Chong. Spanberger made clear that as Governor, she will deliver for all of Virginia’s communities and local businesses — with a focus on lowering costs, growing Virginia’s economy, and strengthening Virginia’s schools.

Manassas

Spanberger then joined excited Virginians and members of the “Business Leaders for Spanberger” coalition at Jirani Coffee in Old Town Manassas. At the local business, Spanberger, Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger, and local leaders made clear her laser-focus on lowering costs for Virginia families, strengthening Virginia’s economy, supporting local businesses, putting Virginia’s schools on a path toward being the best in the country, and standing up for Virginia in the face of attacks out of Washington.

Loudoun

To end Thursday — Halloween Eve, Spanberger walked in the Leesburg Halloween Parade with local members of the Loudoun County Democratic Committee and greeted excited Virginia families and costumed children along the route.

BACKGROUND

Spanberger remains focused on putting Virginians first as their next Governor — by lowering costs for Virginia families, growing Virginia’s economy, and making sure Virginia’s schools are the best in the nation.

Earlier this year, Spanberger rolled out her Affordable Virginia Plan to lower Virginians’ healthcare, housing, and energy costs. The cost of living remains the top issue for Virginia voters.

In July, Spanberger rolled out her Growing Virginia Plan to grow workforce training opportunities for Virginians, bring more business investment to Virginia, and expand trade opportunities for Virginia businesses. In the face of the Trump Administration’s attacks on Virginia’s economy and workforce — attacks that led the University of Virginia to forecast that the Commonwealth will have virtually no job growth in 2026, Spanberger will stand up for Virginia jobs.

In August, Spanberger announced her Strengthening Virginia Schools Plan to strengthen Virginia’s child care and early childhood education programs, K-12 schools, and institutions of higher education. As a mom of three kids in Virginia public schools, Spanberger has a plan to make sure Virginia’s schools are the best in America.

The “Virginia Votes Bus Tour” is Spanberger’s second statewide bus tour of her campaign. Earlier this year, Spanberger completed her eight-day, 49-stop “Span Virginia Bus Tour,” which energized voters across the Commonwealth.
