Spanberger’s “Virginia Votes Bus Tour” Rolls Through Northern Virginia & Greater Richmond

Over the Past 48 Hours, Spanberger Made Stops in Prince William County, Fairfax County, Falls Church, Henrico, Chesterfield, & Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger on Sunday and Monday made stops on her “Virginia Votes Bus Tour” across Northern Virginia and Greater Richmond — laying out the stakes in this year’s election before volunteers got out the vote in their communities.

Heading into Election Day, Spanberger met Virginians who are working to make sure that their neighbors have a plan to vote. On Sunday evening in Falls Church, Spanberger spoke to a packed theater of more than 500 Virginians about how she will be a Governor focused on lowering costs for Virginia families, growing Virginia’s economy, protecting Virginians’ fundamental rights, strengthening Virginia’s schools, and delivering for all Virginia families.

Prince William

On Sunday, Spanberger, Congressman Eugene Vindman (D-VA-07), and additional local leaders kicked off a canvass launch in Woodbridge — rallying Virginians who are working to get out the vote and elect Democrats up and down the ballot on Election Day.

Annandale

Spanberger then joined Congressman Don Beyer (D-VA-08), additional local leaders, campaign volunteers, and supporters for a canvass launch in Annandale — energizing an already pumped up crowd to get out the vote ahead of Election Day.

Herndon

At a canvass launch in Herndon, Spanberger spoke to an excited crowd of supporters and volunteers — laying out the stakes in Tuesday’s elections and encouraging all Virginians to make sure their friends, family, and neighbors have a plan to vote. Spanberger was joined by former Congresswoman Barbara Comstock, local leaders, and a crowd of fired-up Virginians.

Falls Church

On Sunday evening, more than 500 Virginians came out to the State Theatre in Falls Church to hear from Spanberger and Senators Mark Warner (D-VA) and Tim Kaine (D-VA). The two former Governors made clear that Spanberger will always put Virginians — and the Commonwealth — first as their next Governor.

Henrico

On Monday in Tuckahoe, Spanberger met volunteers and supporters who are working to get out the vote ahead of Election Day. Spanberger was joined on Monday by Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (D-VA-04), Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), local leaders, and community members.

Chesterfield

Spanberger then kicked off a canvass launch in Midlothian — laying out the stakes in Tuesday’s elections and making clear that on Day One, she is ready to get to work to bring down costs for Virginia families, grow Virginia’s economy, and make sure Virginia’s public schools are the best in the nation.

Richmond

At Monroe Park in Richmond, Spanberger rallied students from Virginia Commonwealth University at a “Rams for Spanberger” event — reminding students to make sure they have a plan to vote on Election Day.

BACKGROUND

Spanberger remains focused on putting Virginians first as their next Governor — by lowering costs for Virginia families, growing Virginia’s economy, and making sure Virginia’s schools are the best in the nation.

Earlier this year, Spanberger rolled out her Affordable Virginia Plan to lower Virginians’ healthcare, housing, and energy costs. The cost of living remains the top issue for Virginia voters.

In July, Spanberger rolled out her Growing Virginia Plan to grow workforce training opportunities for Virginians, bring more business investment to Virginia, and expand trade opportunities for Virginia businesses. In the face of the Trump Administration’s attacks on Virginia’s economy and workforce — attacks that led the University of Virginia to forecast that the Commonwealth will have virtually no job growth in 2026, Spanberger will stand up for Virginia jobs.

In August, Spanberger announced her Strengthening Virginia Schools Plan to strengthen Virginia’s child care and early childhood education programs, K-12 schools, and institutions of higher education. As a mom of three kids in Virginia public schools, Spanberger has a plan to make sure Virginia’s schools are the best in America.

The “Virginia Votes Bus Tour” is Spanberger’s second statewide bus tour of her campaign. Earlier this year, Spanberger completed her eight-day, 49-stop “Span Virginia Bus Tour,” which energized voters across the Commonwealth.
