Statewide Virginia Leaders Endorse Congressman James Walkinshaw for Re-Election
Leaders you trust know that James Walkinshaw understands the needs of our Commonwealth
Fairfax, VA – Today, Governor Abigail Spanberger, Lieutenant Governor Ghazala Hashmi, Senator Tim Kaine and Senator Mark Warner endorsed Congressman James Walkinshaw for re-election in Virginia’s 11th District.
“I served in Congress and know what it takes to get results. You need to listen, do your homework, then work hard to get results. That’s what Congressman Walkinshaw has done. Since being elected last year, he’s taken on the Trump Administration to protect federal workers, delivered federal funding for Virginia, and fought to defend our values. I’m proud to support him for re-election.” said Governor Spanberger.
“As a former educator, State Senator, and now Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor, I know James Walkinshaw is someone we can trust to always put our students, teachers, and families first. He has the courage to stand up to Donald Trump’s relentless attacks on public education — his first act in Congress was to prevent Donald Trump from gutting the Department of Education. No one works harder for our most vulnerable children, and I’m proud to be supporting his re-election.” said Lieutenant Governor Ghazala Hashmi.
“James Walkinshaw hit the ground running as Virginia’s newest Member of Congress—and he hasn’t slowed down for a second. I’ve worked closely with James to stand up for federal workers, rein in Donald Trump’s abuses of power, and deliver real results for Virginia. He’s experienced, relentless, and effective, and he’s exactly the kind of leader we need. I’m proud to support his re-election and urge everyone in Virginia’s 11th District to do the same.” said Senator Mark Warner.
“Since being elected in September, James Walkinshaw has been everywhere—listening, leading, and fighting for Virginia. He’s a tireless advocate on the issues that matter most to our community: lowering costs, protecting Virginians’ health care, and standing up for federal workers. James is principled, prepared, and deeply committed to public service, and I’m proud to endorse him.” said Senator Tim Kaine.
“I’m honored to have the support of Virginia’s statewide Democratic leaders. They’re leading the fight to make life more affordable for hardworking families, stand up to Donald Trump, and ensure Virginia remains the best place in the country to live, work, and play.
I look forward to continuing to work with them to deliver for all Virginians.” said Congressman Walkinshaw.
Congressman James Walkinshaw is a lifelong Virginian and graduate of Unity Reed High School in Manassas.
