Jeff Ryer Narrowly (42-34) Wins Election as New VA GOP Chair, Is Ripped by Loudoun GOP Chair For Having “made over $1,800,000 MILLION DOLLARS off our candidates”

Meanwhile, Ryer will attempt to rebuild a party that was utterly decimated in November 2024...and which is tied to Trump, who has a 34% approval rating in Virginia

One big happy family (snark) in the Virginia Republican Party, as the chairman of the Loudoun GOP (Scott Pio) rips the newly elected Virginia GOP Chair (Jeff Ryer; on a vote of 42-34 over Nicholas Proffitt):

“The guy that made over $1,800,000 MILLION DOLLARS off our candidates has also just been appointed as the Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.

I’m so glad that we just placed another consultant at the top of the Republican Party of Virginia!

At least he can make more money than he ever has sitting in this position while the rest of the other consultants will get their take too!

My only hope is that he will add as many consultants as he can to the State Central Committee so they can continue to charge our candidates 90% margins!

Jeff is the perfect candidate for the job due to his willingness to make sure all of his conflicts of interest have been filed appropriately!

Great Job Jeff! Truly looking forward to the next two years!

satire…..”

So…off to a great start there, huh?  Also note, as Sam Shirazi points out:

“He faces a tough task as Virginia GOP tries to rebuild. His first task will be a redistricting referendum if GOP legal challenges don’t work”

Yes, although actually it sounds like Ryer’s “first task” might actually be to keep his party from destroying itself even further, via the ol’ circular firing squad, after it got wiped out last November and with a cult leader (Trump) who has a horrendous 34% approval rating in Virginia. Good luck? LOL

P.S. I checked VPAP, and it lists Ryer as having received nearly $1.6 million for “All Services” from the VA Senate Republican Caucus ($911k), Kathy Byron for Delegate ($196k), Morgan Griffith for Delegate ($171k), etc.
