Video: Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-VA11) Says “we want to understand whether the public statements that Mr. Gates has made about his relationship with Epstein are fully truthful and accurate”

That includes "Epstein's clear attempt to leverage or perhaps even blackmail Gates over his relationship with one of the Russian women"

See below for video of Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-VA11) talking about yesterday’s and today’s interviews by the House Oversight Committee about the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Yesterday, it was longtime (18 years) Jeffrey Epstein assistant Lesley Groff, who – according to Rep. Walkinshaw –  “maintained…that over those 18 years…[Groff] scheduled massage after massage after massage, meeting after meeting after meeting with young women…Groff maintained…she never once even had a suspicion that perhaps he was abusing women and girls. I find it unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable, not remotely credible.” Today, it’s Bill Gates’ turn to talk to the Oversight Committee. According to Rep. Walkinshaw (see videos, below):

“I expect [Gates will] be consistent with what he said publicly, which is that his relationship with Epstein was limited, Epstein was hoping that he would set up a donor-advised fund, he hoped that Epstein would recruit others for the Gates Foundation philanthropic work. I think we’re going to be asking tough questions about the nature and extent of that relationship. There are some strange elements to it, where Epstein learns of this affair Gates has with the Russian woman, and clearly tries to use that to as leverage over Gates. He, Epstein, begins to make payments to the woman and then ask Gates for reimbursement of those payments. This is in the files. We don’t know how Gates responded to that request from Epstein. So there are, I think, some really important questions we’re going to need to ask today.”

Rep. Walkinshaw:

“I think we want to understand whether the public statements that Mr. Gates has made about his relationship with Epstein are fully truthful and accurate. Obviously, the files contain some interesting and troubling emails. Epstein’s clear attempt to leverage or perhaps even blackmail Gates over his relationship with one of the Russian women and Epstein, you know, providing payments to that woman and the email from Epstein to Gates asking for reimbursement of those payments. We don’t know whether or how Gates responded to that. I think that’s important. the relationship between Epstein, Gates and Miss Walker, who says she was introduced to Epstein by Donald Trump. Want to learn more about all of that. So, a lot of important questions today…I want to find out whether his public statements about the limits of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein are fully truthful and accurate.”
