NEW TV AD: Terry for Virginia Releases New TV Ad “Better Way”

Glenn Youngkin Has Completely Embraced Donald Trump, Who Represents Hatred and Division Seen in Charlottesville & January 6 Insurrection

As Virginia’s 72nd Governor, Terry McAuliffe Stood Up to Trump & Hate During Deadly White Supremacist Attack on Charlottesville

MCLEAN, VA – Terry for Virginia today released a new TV ad “Better Way.” The ad highlights Glenn Youngkin’s complete and total embrace of Donald Trump and the hate and division that Trump represents – from the white supremacist attack in Charlottesville in 2017 to the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 of this year. Despite Trump’s conspiracy theories, lies, and deadly rhetoric, Glenn Youngkin has said he is “honored” to have Trump’s endorsement and proclaims Trump “represents so much of why” he is running. Terry McAuliffe, on the other hand, stood up against right-wing extremists and their hate-filled lies during the attack in Charlottesville, and as Virginia’s next governor he will lift up all Virginians and lead the Commonwealth into a stronger future.

Glenn Youngkin has spent his entire campaign embracing Donald Trump’s dangerous conspiracy theories, which are rooted in right-wing extremism, deadly lies and hate. At the Trump rally in support of Youngkin’s campaign last week, attendees pledged their allegiance to a flag that was present at the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. Glnn Youngkin is closing his campaign the same way he started it – by celebrating Donald Trump’s most dangerous and divisive lies about the 2020 election.

TRANSCRIPT:

Narrator: How did we end up here? The lies, the division. It starts when we give room for hate to grow.
Donald Trump: You also had very fine people on both sides.
Narrator: And for some, they embrace it.
Glenn Youngkin: I was honored to receive President Trump’s endorsement.
Narrator:: But leadership requires taking a stand.
Terry McAuliffe: I have a message to all the white supremacists and the Nazis that came into Charlottesville today, go home. You are not wanted in this great Commonwealth.
Narrator: And not giving oxygen to the lies.
Donald Trump: The single biggest issue…
Glenn Youngkin: The most important issue….
Donald Trump: Is talking about the election fraud.
Glenn Youngkin: So let’s just audit the voting machines.
Narrator: This election is about lifting up all Virginians and protecting our democracy, what we stand for, and what kind of Commonwealth our kids will inherit. Let’s choose a better way.
