Terry for Virginia Releases New Digital Ad “Wrong” Highlighting Glenn Youngkin’s Divisive Closing Message of Embracing Book Banning

MCLEAN, VA – Terry for Virginia today released a new digital ad “Wrong” highlighting Glenn Youngkin’s closing message of embracing book banning and silencing esteemed Black authors. The ad features a Virginia parent talking about Younkin’s bigoted attack on an American classic, the latest turn in Glenn Youngkin’s embrace of white nationalism and attacks on democracy. Youngkin is closing his campaign the way it began: with a total embrace of Donald Trump from his deadly election conspiracy theories to his push for book banning.

Glenn Youngkin’s entire campaign has been one racist dog whistle after another, and  his closing message is putting Virginia students in the middle of his Trumpian culture wars. In the final stretch until Election Day, Glenn Youngkin is closing out his campaign with a right-wing push to bring his dangerous agenda to Virginia – an agenda that voters will reject next week.

TRANSCRIPT
LaNoral: Nothing is more important than my children’s education. So when I heard about Glenn Youngkin wanting to ban books by prominent Black authors, it scared me.
Sunny Hostin: Here in Virginia, Youngkin, he’s campaigning on banning books.
LaNoral:: We know what this is about. It’s the same politics we saw from Donald Trump, meant to divide us.
LaNoral:: It has no place in our schools and no place in Virginia. Let’s choose a better way.
