Jen Kiggans and the Republican Commitment to Outlaw Abortion

The Republican Party finally unveiled their agenda – and to absolutely no one’s surprise, outlawing abortion is front and center.

In spite of Jen Kiggans’ feeble attempts to convince Virginians that “banning abortion is not on my agenda” – just days before she admitted to supporting the 15-week national abortion ban – Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and the Republican caucus are proving that ending abortion is on the agenda indeed. The Republican “Commitment to America” platform leaked this week pledges to “Protect the lives of unborn children and their mothers.”

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, the anti-abortion group that endorsed Jen Kiggans, was quick to endorse the Republican plan because it “recognizes the role Congress has in protecting unborn children & their moms from abortion.” 

“Simply put: Jen Kiggans and the Republican Party support outlawing abortion, and it’s squarely on their agenda to ban it if they take power,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “Her anti-abortion views are dangerous, and Virginians can’t afford to send her to Congress.”
