Damn, Sen. Louise Lucas is NOT messing around in moving VERY quickly to nominate and elect a replacement to fill Sen. Jennifer McClellan’s soon-to-be-vacant seat!  See below for Sen. Lucas’ memo, in which she says – in her capacity as President Pro Tem of the Senate – that there WILL be a special election for SD09 (Richmond City, Henrico County, Hanover County and Charles City County) on March 28, meaning that “parties have until this Monday to nominate their candidates,” so “Get ready to vote this weekend!” Never a dull moment in Virginia politics, eh? LOL

So to quickly review, the Democratic candidates in this solid-“blue” district are Del. Dawn AdamsDel. Lamont Bagby and Alexsis Rodgers. To watch them giving presentations and answering questions to the Henrico Democrats on February 13, see here.
