In response to (yet another) bizarre interview with JD Vance, DNC Spokesperson Aida Ross released the following statement:
“Another day, another weird, creepy, unhinged interview featuring JD Vance. It’s hard to tell what’s more off putting: Vance or the extreme anti-choice Project 2025 agenda that he and Donald Trump are pushing as part of their deranged vision to rip away our basic rights.”
LISTEN: JD Vance agreed with a podcast host who said having grandmothers to help raise children is “the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female.”
Vance: “It makes [his son] a much better human being, to have exposure to his grandparents. And the evidence on this, by the way, is super clear.”
Interviewer: “That’s the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female, in theory.”
Vance: “Yes.”
It’s no wonder that the more the American people (and Trump himself) see Vance, the more they dislike him.
Harris Faulker, Fox News: “When you look at JD Vance, is he ready on day one?”
Trump: “Is he what?”
Faulkner: “Ready on day one if he has to be?”
Trump: “I’ve always had great respect for him. And for the other candidates too. But I will say this, and I think this is well-documented: historically, the vice president in terms of the election does not have any impact, I mean virtually no impact.”
