“If I had sponsored the assault weapons ban, would he have asked for my deportation, too?”

"I think politicians have gotten too comfortable swearing in public but f*** this guy [Rep. Andrew Clyde - R, GA]"

See below for just a few responses (I’ll add more as I see them) to the racist, xenophobic, vile, disgusting, etc. comments by inorant, vicious, mouth-breathing racist/bigot Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) about VA State Senator Saddam Salim, for having the audacity to sponsor gun violence prevention legislation – and even more so, for being an immigrant to this country, OMG!  Bottom line: it’s a disgrace that someone like Clyde is in the US House, or holds ANY elective office really. Utter shame on anyone who voted (or plans to vote) for this cretin.

By the way, the bill that set off Clyde is SB749, which “Creates a Class 1 misdemeanor for any person who imports, sells, manufactures, purchases, or transfers an assault firearm, as that term is defined in the bill with some exceptions, and prohibits a person who has been convicted of such violation from purchasing, possessing, or transporting a firearm for a period of three years from the date of conviction.” The bill passed the House and Senate almost completely along party lines, with Gov. Spanberger signing it into law. But note how this Clyde character goes after the Muslim, immigrant, person of color, etc?  Fascinating how that works, huh? Also, notice how Clyde – and those agreeing with Clyde on Musk’s Nazi site (aka, Twitter or “X”) – go viciously ad hominem instead of debating the merits of the legislation? Very, very revealing…
