Apparently Michelle Bachmann and Rep. King did not hesitate to appeal to the racist contingent in Iowa during a recent news conference. They were using the “poor affected farmers” card when anyone with an ounce of sense knows that a majority of farming today is done by mega corporate farms. John Boyd, the farmer who has worked so long and hard for black farmers is a Virginia native and lives 2 miles from me. Our former congressman Perriello pushed for the legislation which released the funds to right this wrong.
