HMP Doubles Down on How Taylor is Raising Health Care Costs on Virginians

Washington, DC – Today, House Majority PAC launched a second TV ad in VA-02, spotlighting Congressman Scott Taylor’s coziness with insurance interests and how his vote to increase health care costs are making it worse for hardworking Virginia families.

In Congress, Scott Taylor has taken thousands of dollars from insurance interests, and voted for a health care bill that would increase costs for middle-class families and impose an “Age Tax” on older Virginians. According to AARP, the “Age Tax” would allow insurance companies to charge people aged 50-64 up to five times more than younger consumers.

“Making it Worse” is the second ad running as part of an approximately $418,000 total buy on broadcast in the Norfolk media market.

“While middle-class families struggle every day to pay their bills, Congressman Scott Taylor voted for higher health care costs and a punishing ‘Age Tax,’” said House Majority PAC Press Secretary Hannah Blatt. “One thing is crystal clear from Taylor’s record – his actions benefit special interests at the expense of hardworking Virginians. Voters can’t afford to send Taylor back to Washington where he’ll continue to leave them and their families in the dust.”
